The subtitled image on viewer's far left is from the excellent 1998 dark-satire movie The Truman Show, specifically this three- or four-minute scene. In the middle of the image, that's a talking head from Afghanistan National Television, part of the Kabul-based government organ Radio Television Afghanistan. The screengrab is from the channel on, I believe, 16 August 2021 (source). The white flags in the background are the Taliban's flag; it has written on it prominently the Shahada, meaning in Arabic the testimony, in Islam one of the Five Pillars: "I bear witness that none deserves worship except God, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of God." At the bottom right is an image of one of the many Afghanistan flags, this one used by the anti-Taliban Northern Alliance among others, though the particular flag used in my image has had removed the National Emblem present in many Afghanistan flag versions. The original source of the Emblem-less flag appears to be this 10 September 2019 facebook photo post by the Tajik History Eastern Iranian facebook page. I'm not sure what the corresponding facebook regular post is or who the Tajik History Eastern Iranian group are. At the viewer's far right and up is an image of Cindi Fisher, the hunger-striking mother of Siddharta Fisher, who at the time of this writing (23 August 2021) is incarcerated at Western State Hospital in Washington state.
